This is a very entertaining show to watch and it is interesting to see some of the items that people sell or pawn. The three generations of Harrisons (Old Man, Rick, and Corey) and Chumlee are a fun group to watch interact. It is funny to see them rip off people and also to watch the reactions of some of the sellers who think they are being ripped off.

The premise of the show is that most people don’t know what their items are worth, so it allows the pawn shop to give low offers for the merchandise and get a good laugh at the seller’s expense. Oftentimes the valuations they provide are broad approximations of the true value and it seems like they know that the seller will be shocked by their offers.
